Thorbjørn Ankerstjerne’s work is both broad in style and methods of production, incorporating art direction, moving image, installation and graphic design. Thorbjørn initially worked in Post-Production in Copenhagen but left to study in the UK after a chance conversation with a friend. Since studying at Central St Martins Thorbjørn has made quite an impact on the London design scene, being nominated by Wallpaper as One to Watch.
Thorbjørn has recently worked alongside graphic designer Richard Hollis on Turner Prize winner Steve McQueen’s Queen and Country. He also guest art directed Specialten magazine and directed a music video for the Danish band The Holiday Show with his friend, and sometime collaborator, Jonas Lund.
His work has appeared in publications such as Vogue, Creative Review, Dazed & Confused, and Wallpaper.
